Function
了 Is only used in the case that the result can be achieved.
- 這是很多包子，我很餓所以我吃得了。
- 這本書很難，難讀得不得了！
- 學校在一點遠，你走得了走不了？
Usage
了 is irregular, therefore it can only be used in potential mode when the regular complements can also be used in the actual mode.

Completion of Action with V + 完
Function
完 following an action verb indicates completion action completeness.
- 我們已經吃完早餐了。
- 我玩了做我的作業和現在我沒寫完！
- 你是不是看完這本書了？
